Summer is here and we can surely tell! Whether you enjoy getting outside and enjoying the warm weather and sunshine or beating the heat and staying out of the summer showers with some indoor activities, we’ve found something for everyone that you can enjoy this month!

ArtWalk: 7/1
This monthly first Friday event takes place in Downtown Charleston art galleries and features a variety of regional and national artists with varying styles and forms of art.

Party at the Point- Grey Keys & Company: 7/1
Local outdoor concert series at Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina. This event is for all ages and features a variety of food and beverage options and takes place on their beachfront location.

Fourth of July Fireworks: 7/4
One of the many locations to catch an excellent display of fireworks is on Folly Beach. Everyone from locals to visitors of all ages are welcome to come enjoy the show.

Uncle Sam Jam: 7/4
Taking place on the Mt. Pleasant Pier, this event features live music and a lot of dancing!

Southeast Crab Feast: 7/9
This seafood festival takes place at Wannamaker Park in North Charleston and features all you can eat Blue crabs, grab and Go bags, fresh seafood cooked onsite, and several beverage options!

American Jukebox- Hits from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s!: 7/9
Located at the Charleston Music Hall, this concert is sure to be tons of fun!

Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series: 7/10
Taking place at James Island County park, this widely popular event involves a 600 yard freshwater swim, 12 mile cycle, and 5k run.

OneRepublic + NEEDTOBREATHE- Never Ending Summer Tour: 7/10
Sure to be a fabulous show, this concert takes place at the Credit One Stadium and is the perfect way to celebrate summer.

Hamilton: 7/13-7/24
Enjoy this fun and engaging musical to learn all about America’s history! Taking place various times at the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center, be sure to get your tickets soon!

Dierks Bentley: Beers on Me Tour: 7/14
Another perfect concert for the outdoor space at Credit One Stadium!

Reggae Nights Summer Concert: 7/15
This outdoor event takes place at James Island County Park and will feature a blend of both new and old school reggae. Music will start at 8:00 pm and end at 11:00 pm. Bringing blankets and chairs is encouraged.

Charleston Caribbean Jerk Festival: 7/16
This event is perfect for all ages! Experience Caribbean culture by enjoying food, music, and activities at North Charleston’s Riverfront Park.

Anime Film Festival: 7/16
Do you love Japanese animated films? This event is for you! The festival takes place at the Charleston Music Hall and is the 3rd Annual event where they will screen 3 different films. Dressing up as your favorite anime, manga, or cosplay character is encouraged!

Sweetgrass Cultural Arts Festival: 7/23
This event takes place annually at Mt. Pleasant’s Memorial Waterfront Park. It is a free event for all ages to learn about and bring awareness to the history, traditions, and culture of the Gullah-Geechee people. There will be a strong focus on the sweetgrass basket weaving, as well as other arts and crafts and entertainment.

Isle of Palms Beach Run: 7/23
Do you love running marathons and the beach? Why not combine the two events and sign up for this race? Starting at 8 am, the run will take place on the beach near low tide. Awards will follow completion of the race.

Dog Days of Summer 5K: 7/23
If running marathons interests you but the beach is not your scene, then this race is for you! Taking place at The Citadel and Hampton Park, and also starts at 8 am!

Thomas Rhett- Bring The Bar To You Tour: 7/23
This concert will take place at the Credit One Stadium and is sure to be one you don’t forget!

The Wildflowers- A Tribute to Tom Petty: 7/23
This concert is a tribute to the late Tom Petty and takes place at the Charleston Music Hall.

James and the Giant Peach: 7/23-7/24, 7/30-7/31
This event takes place at The Historic Dock Street Theater and is based on the classic children’s book “James and the Giant Peach.”

Holy City Farmers Market: 7/30
This event is a popup farmers market featuring local produce, vendors, food trucks, drinks, and live music and takes place at Firefly Distillery.

Everybody Gets Lei’d- Luau Bar Crawl: 7/30
This event takes place on King Street and is an Hawaiian themed bar crawl. Make sure to put on your favorite Hawaiian themed attire and check in at the participating local bars to score the awesome deals.
